For her performances in wins vs. Baruch College and Albright College, Julia Mann (Central Square, N.Y.) of the women's basketball team has been named CoastGuardAthletics.com Athlete of the Week, presented by First Command.
Mann was a key player in the 2-0 week. The senior forward recorded a monster double-double in the 69-58 win over Baruch, scoring an efficient 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting and grabbing 19 rebounds, which was just three away from the program's single-game record. In the 82-61 win against Albright later in the week, she scored ten while pulling down eight boards and tallied a steal.
Mann is leading the team in rebounds and rebounds-per-game this season, with 109 and 9.1 respectively. Congratulations to Julia on an excellent week!
