For his performance in Saturday’s victory over Emerson, Vito Giordano of baseball has been named CoastGuardAthletics.com Athlete of the Week presented by First Command.
 
Vito pitched eight scoreless innings and struck out 13 batters to earn his third victory of the season. Among qualified pitchers, he ranks 2^nd in the NEWMAC in ERA and 8^th in K’s.
 
Coast Guard baseball concluded their regular season with a 24-9 record and are the co-regular season NEWMAC champs alongside Salve Regina with a 13-3 conference record. They will host the winner of Babson and MIT this Friday at 3:30.
