After a record-setting weekend, Sean Lyman of the Men's Swimming & Diving team has been named the CoastGuardAthletics.com Athlete of the Week, presented by First Command.
The senior captain broke three Coast Guard pool records between two meets this past weekend. First, he swam a 4:39.42 in the 500-yard freestyle at Friday's dual meet vs. Wheaton College (Mass.), and then he followed that up at Saturday's dual vs. Roger Williams with a 4:07.48 in the 400-yard individual medley and a 9:33.78 in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Lyman and the Men's Swim & Dive team will be back in the pool this upcoming Saturday, November 16th, facing Connecticut College in a dual meet at Wellesley College. Congratulations to Sean for an excellent start to the season!
