For their collective performance this past week at the 2024 Head of the Housatonic race, the Coast Guard men's rowing team has been named CoastGuardAtheletics.com Athletes of the Week, presented by First Command.

Men' rowing claimed the top spots in two races on the Housatonic River. The Bears' won the Collegiate Novice 8+ event by outpacing runners-up Merchant Marine by 11 seconds. Later on, Coast Guard's 1v took home the Directors' Cup trophy after placing 1st in the 8+ Collegiate Men (Non-IRA) race; the 2v finished 10th in the same race.
