Lieutenant Lynn Schrayshuen, a native of Manlius, N.Y., graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Computer Analysis. She played center midfielder while attending the academy.

During the 2020-21 year, Schrayshuen was part of Coach Grant's coaching staff that was named the United Soccer Coaches Division III Women's New England Region Staff of the Year voted by the coaches in the region. They were the only Coaching Staff of the Year recipients in the nation in 2020-2021 to have a female head coach and all female staff.

Her first assignment was to the CGC RELIANCE in Portsmouth, N.H. where she served as a Deck Watch Officer. In July, 2012 she reported to Sector Hampton Roads in Norfolk, Va. Where she was a marine inspector for domestic and foreign commercial vessels. In June of 2015, she reported to New Bedford, MA as the Supervisor of Marine Safety Detachment New Bedford.

In July 2018, LT Schrayshuen attending the University of Delaware culminating in receiving a Masters in Statistics. Upon graduation from the University of Delaware in June 2020 she reported to the Coast Guard Academy Mathematics Department and currently serves as a Calculus Instructor.
