Shari Krasnoo begins her second season as the assistant coach at the United States Coast Guard Academy. She has helped elevate the Bear’s women’s lacrosse program immediately. Shari enjoyed a highly successful career in women's lacrosse both as a player and coach.   

She was named the head coach of the Boston College program from 2000 - 2005 after serving as the head coach at Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J., for six years. Krasnoo was the only head coach in the history of the Monmouth program and led the Hawks to a 13-4 record last year and an appearance in the championship game of the Northeast Conference tournament. Krasnoo coached Monmouth to winning seasons in four of her last five years at the school and the team appeared in the NEC championship game twice, while finishing in second place during the regular season twice. She was named the NEC coach of the year in 1998. 

Her 2000 Monmouth team ranked tied for fourth in the country for NCAA Division I for winning percentage at .765, fifth in the country in scoring offense at 13.35 goals per game, sixth in scoring defense at 7.18 goals per game allowed and second in scoring margin at plus-6.18 goals per game. 

Krasnoo came to Monmouth after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Trenton State College in Ewing, N.J., from 1993-94. During her time there, Trenton State posted a 31-0 record and won two NCAA Division III national championship. Krasnoo also served as an assistant field hockey coach at the school. 

She spent the 1991-92 academic year as an assistant women's lacrosse and women's soccer coach at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. 

Shari Krasnoo graduated as one of Colgate’s elite woman athletes. She was the first woman in the school’s history to earn first team Division I All-America status when she was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and the U.S. Women’s Lacrosse Association All-America teams. In her senior year, she led the nation in scoring with 85 goals and 20 assists for 105 points. Krasnoo also earned Patriot League Player of the Year honors in 1991 and was named to the North squad in the 1991 Women’s College North-South Senior All-Star Game. During her collegiate career, she set school records for most goals in a game (8), season (85) and career (245), and established marks for most points in a game (12), season (105) and career (324). Krasnoo also earned four varsity letters in soccer, where she was selected as the Patriot League Player of the Year in her senior season. She finished her career as Colgate’s all-time scoring leader with 37 goals and 13 assists for 87 points. In 2015, she was named to the Patriot League 25th all-anniversary team in lacrosse. 

Krasnoo earned her bachelor's degree in education and sociology/anthropology from Colgate in 1991. She earned a master's degree form Trenton State in 1994 in athletic administration.
