Scott is in his ninth season as member of the Bears coaching staff bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from all levels of basketball.

He was an assistant coach for the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun for ten seasons (2003-2012) as the team made numerous playoff appearances and won a pair of Eastern Conference Championships.

Prior to coaching in the WNBA, Hawk won a boys basketball state championship as a head coach. He was head coach at Omaha Cathedral High in Nebraska from 1985-1990 winning a Class C state championship and earning Coach of the Year honors in 1986. Hawk was head boys basketball coach at Omaha Creighton Prep from 1990-2003 leading the team to a Class A state championship and earning Coach of the Year honors in 1994.

Hawk was also head girls basketball coach at Bellevue West High in Nebraska from 1999-2003 where he turned a team that had never had a winning record in 22 years to a team that went 20-2 and earned a spot in the state tournament semifinals.

He is a graduate of University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in Education before earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Lesley University.
