Coach Godwin enters her fourth season as an Assistant Coach with the Bears softball program.

Godwin, a 2014 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, was a two-sport athlete for the Warriors in softball and soccer. On the diamond, she was a teammate of Cost Guard Head Softball Coach Arielle Porter, a 2011 Little East Conference Rookie of the Year, and a two-time NFCA Third Team All-Region selection in 2011 and 2013. On the pitch, Godwin was a Second Team All-LEC selection in 2013.

Outside of Coast Guard, Godwin is a coach and hitting instructor for the Connecticut Eliminators travel softball program.
