Coach Fleischmann returns for his 15th season as an Assistant Coach for the Coast Guard Academy's softball program.

Fleischmann recently completed his 25th season on the football team's coaching staff, where he's the current Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach. During his first nine years at the Academy, Fleischmann was an Assistant Coach for the track & field program specializing in throwing events. Last Spring, he temporarily served as an Assistant Coach for the men's lacrosse team.

Prior to arriving in New London, Fleischmann spent one year at Maine Maritime Academy, working with the football team as a Running Backs Coach and the softball team as an Assistant Coach. In college, Fleischmann was a walk-on member for the Tulane University football team before he transferred to St. Thomas (Minn.), where he was a 1996 MIAC All-Academic Team selection. After graduating from St. Thomas, Fleischmann attended graduate school at Northwest Missouri State and eanred in Masters in Athletic Administration & Physical Education in 1999.

Coach Fleischmann's wife, Corinna, is active duty in the Coast Guard, holding the rank of Captain, and graduated from the Academy in 1998. She's currently a member of CGA's Permanent Commisioned Teaching Staff and sevres as the Dean of the School of Leadership & Management (SLAM). They reside in nearby Waterford, Connecticut, with their daughters, Josslyn and Jayna.
