United States Coast Guard Academy

Joe is in his seventh season as an assistant coach with the men's basketball team.

He was an assistant coach at Plainfield High with the boy's team prior to coaching at the Academy and is the head coach of the Connecticut Playmakers AAU basketball team in Groton.

Cyr was a three-sport athlete at St. Bernard's High in Uncasville as he played football, basketball and baseball for the Saints.

He played basketball at both UConn-Avery Point and Eastern Connecticut State University, where he graduated in 2014 with degree in Communications. He is currently working on his Master's in Sports Management from Lasell College in Newton, Mass.
