WILMINGTON, Del. —
Coast Guard women's rowing stroke
Katharine Morgan (Glenside, Pa.) was revealed as a CRCA Division III All-American on Friday, punctuating her collegiate career with her second national nod.
The CRCA All-American Awards recognize the most outstanding collegiate rowers and coxswains across all NCAA divisions. Athletes chosen to their respective teams "have demonstrated elite athletic performance, leadership, consistency, and dedication throughout the season, earning distinction among the top rowers in the nation," as stated by the CRCA.
Morgan was a Second Team pick last year and entered this season on the CRCA Athletes to Watch List, an expectation she made good on with her Second Team selection on Friday in lieu of an excellent campaign as the women's rowing team's V8 stroke.
"I'm excited that Katharine gets to close out her career here with her second consecutive All-American recognition," says head coach
Andriel Doolittle. "This is well-earned and well-deserved. Throughout the past four years, she has truly embodied what it takes to be a top-level athlete in Division III through her overall talent and hard work."
The appointment to the Athletes to Watch List was her second in that regard, as well. The recent graduate already had a respectable trophy case without the All-America nods — she's the 2025 NEWMAC Rower of the Year and a two-time All-NEWMAC selection (First Team in 2025, Second Team in 2024), as well as the 2022 Black Oar Award recipient. Morgan was also one of just two NEWMAC rowing athletes to earn recognition, with Wellesley College stroke Bronnie Bailey joining her on Second Team.
