MALDEN, Mass. --

Coast Guard headed to Malden, MA for a double dual with #1 ranked Tufts University and #4 ranked Trinity College.

Heading into the first races of the day against Tufts, Coast Guard struggled to match the speed on the Tufts crews in all four races. However, despite the short turnaround time, Coast Guard was able to regroup and come back stronger in the afternoon races against Trinity.

With the closest match of the day for the Bears, the Coast Guard 1V8 finished just 3.8 seconds behind Trinity. With the loss, Trinity retained the ADM Fagan Cup, an annual cup race decided by the winner of the Coast Guard & Trinity 1V8 race.
