NEW LONDON, Conn. - Men's Lacrosse was at Conn College tonight for their final game of the season, where
Dustin Miller tied the single games saves record in the 10-7 loss.
Miller recorded 21 saves which ties
Dan Lucas' record.
Conn jumped out to an early lead just over two minutes into the game, going up 1-0. Coast Guard tied it up a minute and 20 seconds later off a goal by
Eric Key, that was assisted by
Noah Heller.
The Bears took their only lead of the game at the 9:40 mark in the first quarter when
Patrick Smith found the back of the net.
With less than four to go, the Camels tied it up and at five second left, regained the lead.
The second quarter began with another goal by Conn. With 6:45 left in the first half, Heller brought Coast Guard within one. Less than five minutes to go,
Mason LaForte tied the game at four.
However, before the end of the first 30, the Bears once again found themselves down by two, with a score of 6-4 going into halftime.Â
The third quarter only saw three goals total, two by the Camels and one by the Bears, coming from Heller. Heading into the final 15, CGA was trailing, 8-5.Â
Quarter four began with two consecutive goals by the Bears. The first came from Key and the second by
Ryan Hunter. Despite Coast Guard bringing it back within one, it wasn't enough as Conn added two and the game finished at 10-7.Â
Heller and Key led the Bears with two goals a piece, while Hunter led with two assists.Â
