Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NEW LONDON, Conn. - Softball hosted UMass Dartmouth in a non-conference match-up, dropping both games to the Corsairs. 

In game one, the Bears fell with a final score of 8-2.

UMD scored first, going up 3-0 in the opening inning. CGA got two back in the home half, Christine Carey scored on a passed ball and Isabelle Shroyer came home off contact by Bridget Bartz. Into the second inning, the Bears were only trailing by one. 

Neither team scored in the second, but the Corsairs added to their lead in the next two innings. In the third, they added one and added another three in the fourth. One more run by UMD in the sixth with CGA not getting any back, ended the game at 8-2.

Game two, Coast Guard kept it close, but dropped it, 3-1.

The first inning saw the Bears trailing 2-0 after the Corsairs scored in the top half. They added on in the top of the second to lead 3-0.

Coast Guard got one back in the bottom of the second off an error that scored Lillia Farlow, cutting the lead back to two. 

Despite trailing, Coast Guard shut down UMass Dartmouth through the remaining innings. 

The Bears couldn't make a comeback, ending the game with a final of 3-1.

Coast Guard will next host Salve Regina on April 26th in a DH starting at 3 PM.
