Men's Soccer Ties With Wheaton

Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - Men's soccer hosted Wheaton in its second conference game of the season, tying with the Lyons, 0-0.

The first half was a goalie's game as both teams got shots off but saves kept the ball from getting in the net. In the first 45 minutes, CGA had four shots, three of them on goal. On defense, Wolfgang Pfleghar recorded two saves in the first.

The second half was much of the same, the teams trading shots back and forth while the goalies kept them out.

As Wheaton kept pushing, Pfleghar made several impressive stops to deny the Lyons. With time winding down, neither team could score, ultimately leading to a 0-0 tie.

Pfleghar had a total of three saves on the day, while the Bears had five shots.

Coast Guard will be on the road at Endicott on September 27th at 4 PM.
