BEVERLY, Mass. - Women's Basketball destroyed Endicott last night with a 35-point victory, going 2-0 to open the season.
The starting five alone put up 67 points to contribute to the 92-57 win. On top of that, the Bears had 25 bench points. Coast Guard outscored Endicott in every quarter. The first set the tone for the game as the Bears scored the first four points and carried the lead for the entire 40 minutes.Â
The second quarter was the biggest margin for CGA, out scoring EC, 29-13. Heading into the break, the Bears were leading, 47-26.Â
The second half was even more of a Coast Guard show. At one point, the Bears were leading by as much as 39 in the fourth quarter. With Endicott never having a chance, Coast Guard put it away to claim the 92-57 win.
Kelly Hagerty led all players in points and rebounds with 18 and nine, respectively.
Dorothy Stotts had 17 points,
Kira Wood put up 13 and
Glory Blethen recorded 12, as well as nine rebounds.Â
Coast Guard will have its home opener on November 14th at 7 PM, hosting RPI.
