WALTHAM, Mass. - Volleyball took a break in conference play last night, taking on Brandeis on the road, falling in four sets.
Each set was a close battle, neither team winning by more than five points.
Set started out with the Judges taking the first two points, but the Bears rallied to take the lead in the middle of the set. They couldn't hold on, however, as Brandeis got three straight points late to put the in front and eventually take the win, 25-22.Â
In set two, CGA had the lead early on, but wasn't able to keep it going as BU jumped in front. The Bears fell in the second, 25-21, needing the win the third set to keep the match going.
Set three is where Coast Guard found its rhythm. It started with the judges getting the first point, but after trading points and tying it up seven times, the Bears took the lead at 16 and held on to clinch the set, 25-20.
After forcing a fourth set, the momentum seemed to carry of for the Bears. They got four straight points at two different times, leading by as much as eight. However, nine stright points by BU in the middle of the set saw the game close again. CGA was not able to hold off its opponent, falling with a final of 25-22.

Sophia Galdamez all had 10 kills for the Bears. Meave Duffin led in assists and digs with 26 and 12, respectively.Â
