Box Score BOSTON, Mass. - Women's Soccer traveled to take on Emerson in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Quarterfinals, falling to the Lions, 2-1

Coast Guard came out with a fire as they struck in the first 14 seconds of the game. Mia Forti found the back of the net to give the Bears the early 1-0 lead. On the defensive side, CGA kept EC from even attempting a shot until the 36th minute. 

The Bear defense held strong as they maintained the 1-0 lead going into halftime. 

Coming out of the break, CGA worked to keep EC of the board, but the Lions ultimately tied the game at one in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute, the Bears found themselves down, 2-1. 

CGA was unable to come back and ultimately fell, 2-1.

Emily Scharnitzky recorded six saves for the Bears. 

Coast Guard ends their season with an overall record of 4-11-4 and a conference record of 3-4-4
