Box Score SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - Today, Coast Guard Women's Soccer traveled to Mt. Holyoke College in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup, defeating the Lyons 2-1.
In the first half, the Bears struck first. At 7:32 into the game,
Karagan Bulger assisted by
Sidney Palinkas gave Coast Guard the 1-0 lead. About 14 minutes later, the Lyons answered back, tying the score 1-1 at 21:37 into the first. Neither team would score the remainder of the first 45, so the score would be 1-1 to start the second half of play.
Coast Guard out shot Mt. Holyoke 13 to four in the 45 minutes of the game.
Neither team scored for the first 20 minutes of the second half. Then at 27:44 left in the second, Bulger scored again for the Bears and was assisted by
Mia Forti. This would be Bulger's third goal of the season to give her team the 2-1 lead.
The rest of the game would remain scoreless and the Bears would ultimately take home the 2-1 win.
The Bears took 21 total shots in the game.

Julia Little both finished the game with two saves apiece.
Coast Guard is back in action this Wednesday, October 25, on their home field against Salve Regina at 7 PM.
