Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - Men's Soccer hosted Salve Regina in a Wednesday evening matchup, tying with the conference newcomers with a final of 1-1.
The Bears had their first big opportunity come in the 15th minute when
Cole Miller just barely missed by hitting it off the crossbar. Nearly 12 minutes later, CGA did find the back of the net off a goal by
Aki Freeman, assisted by
Charles Fish.
Heading into the break, Coast Guard was leading Salve Regina, 1-0.
Within the first 12 minutes of the second half, the Bears saw a couple of good looks, but were unable to score. With just over 10 and a half minutes to go in the game, the Seahawks tied it up at one.Â
In the end, that would be the final score.
CGA had 10 total shots for the game.
Wolfgang Pfleghar had seven saves for the Bears.
Coast Guard will take on WPI on the road on October 21st at 1 PM.
