Bears Win Second Straight

BOSTON, Mass.-- Senior Noah Engstrom and junior Charles Fish scored a goal each to give Coast Guard men's soccer its second win of the season on the road at Wentworth on Saturday afternoon. The Bears improved to 2-0 to start the year, as the Leopards dropped to 0-2 on the season.

Engstrom put away his second goal of the season in the 11th minute with a helper from junior Fish. In the 89th minute, Fish scored his first goal of the season to give the Bears the 2-0 final.

The Bears outshot the Leopards 15-6 and had a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Junior Wolfgang Pfleghar made two saves, earning his first career victory in his first career start for the Bears. Louis Quintero made six saves in goal in the loss for Wentworth.

Coast Guard is back in action in their home-opener on Friday, September 9 at 6:30 PM.
