NEW LONDON, Conn. – Hannah Kelsey's goal in the 20^th minute was the only goal of the game leading Smith to a 1-0 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

Naomi Falkenberg (5-3) made nine saves to register her second shutout of the season for the Pioneers who improve to 6-7-1 overall and 2-4 in the NEWMAC while the Bears fall to 6-8 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Sarah Schollenberger (6-6) had four saves in goal for Coast Guard.

Kelsey took a pass from Etienne Oliver and slid it into the bottom right corner for the eventual game winner.

The Bears are back in action when they host MIT on Saturday at 1:00.
