BOSTON, Mass. – Emerson scored three first half goals en route to a 4-1 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

The Bears drop to 7-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the NEWMAC while Emerson improves to 8-5-2 overall and 4-2-1 in the conference.

The Lions scored in the 13^th, 28^th and 32^nd minute of the first half to lead 3-0 at the break.

Emerson would add a fourth goal in the 58^th minute before the Bears only goal of the game by sophomore Felicia Lombardi, an unassisted goal in the 64^th minute closed the scoring.

The Bears outshot Emerson 16-14, but the two Lions goalies combined to make nine saves in the win.

Freshman Katharina Commins (7-6-1) made four saves and allowed four goals while classmate Emily Rivera made a pair of saves over the final 23:24 for Coast Guard.

Coast Guard is back in action on Saturday when the Bears host Clark in the final regular season home game of the season at 1:00.
