Box Score 2 BRISTOL, R.I. - In their first games back from Florida, Coast Guard earned a split with Roger Williams beating them 5-2 in game one and losing 7-0 in game two in nonconference action.

Senior Hannah Ingerson was 3-4 with two RBI's as the Bears earned their fifth win of the season topping the Hawks 5-2.
Junior Cherokee Strickland was 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored sophomore Emma Hvozdovich was 2-4 with two doubles. Junior Sara Cammuso was 1-3 with an RBI.
Roger Williams was led by sophomore Haley Ledbetter who was 2-4 with one RBI and junior Miakela Grosso was 2-3 with an RBI.
The Bears jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Ingerson came up with the bases loaded and reached on a fielders choice plating freshman Emily Hogan who was at third.
Coast Guard pushed it to 2-0 in the top of third when Cammuso stepped in with runners on second and third and drove a single to right field scoring freshman Allyson Holfinger.
The Hawks managed to tie the game with runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth before the Bears plated three runs in the top of the seventh as Strickland doubled in Hogan from third, followed up with freshman Mackenzie Everett scoring on a wild pitch. Ingerson finished off the scoring by singling to left and scoring Strickland.
Senior Sarah Sorensen (3-5) pitched seven innings giving up two runs on 11 hits and striking out three.
Senior Meghan Maglia (2-4) went seven innings giving up five runs, four earned, on 11 hits and struck out seven.
Game 2: Roger Williams (5-7) 7 Coast Guard (5-7) 0
The Hawks allowed only six hits as they shutout the Bears 7-0 in the second game of the double header.
Freshman Hayden Short was 2-3 while classmate Emily Hogan was 1-4. Senior Hannah Ingerson, sophomore Casey Cruzpino and freshman Sharayah Simco each added hits for the Bears.
Sophomore Haley Ledbetter was 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Junior Julianne Vesce was 1-4 with two RBI's while senior Taylor Messier was 2-4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI's.
Roger Williams jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second inning. They matched that total in the bottom of the fourth with three more runs. The Hawks capped off their scoring with a run
Senior Sarah Sorensen (3-6) took the loss pitching 1.2 innings giving up three runs on four hits. Freshman Mackenzie Everett pitched 4.1 innings in relief allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out two.
Freshman Juliet Hulme (2-0) earned the win, allowing no runs on six hits and striking out four. Sophomore Mary Adametz came in for one inning of relief giving up no run and no hits.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday, March 22nd for their first home game against NESCAC foe Trinity. Game times are 3:00 and 5:00.
