NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/17/11)--Junior Ayo Iwuagwu and senior Max Walker scored second half goals leading Babson to a 2-0 win over Coast Guard in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener for both teams.

Iwuagwu broke the scoreless tie in the 52nd minute with junior Jimmy Stento assisting for the 1-0 lead.

Walker gave the Beavers an insurance goal in the 81st minute as junior Justin LeBlanc assisted to close the scoring.

Senior Peter Crowley made four saves to record his fourth shutout in six games this season as the Beavers improved to 3-2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

Freshman Richard Burns and junior Will Leffler each allowed a goal in net for the Bears. Burns made three saves in just under 73 minutes while Leffler did not register save as the Bears dropped to 3-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Babson outshot Coast Guard 10-9.
