For his performance throughout the 2025 NEWMAC Swimming & Diving Championships this past weekend, Colin Twiss of the men's swimming & diving team is your CoastGuardAthletics.com Athlete of the Week, presented by First Command.
Twiss won the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyle championships and anchored Coast Guard's 400-yard and 800-yard freestyle relay championship teams. The senior captain achieved NCAA B-cut times in both individual events and set a new school record in the 200 free. Both relay teams also earned B-cut times, while Twiss orchestrated an electric finish in the 400-yard by overtaking MIT's anchor just before the last lap and holding on for the win. Additionally, Twiss anchored the 400-yard medley relay team which finished second at the meet while achieving a B-cut time and setting a new school record.
