For her performance vs Babson College, Emily Scharnitzky of Women’s Soccer has been named CoastGuardAthletics.com Athlete of the Week, presented by First Command.

Emily allowed zero goals and made seven saves in the Bears 0-0 tie with Babson. Saturday was the first time Coast Guard has shut out Babson in over 10 years. This was her second consecutive shutout in goal, after making six saves while allowing no goals in a 1-0 victory over Clark last Saturday. Scharnitzky and the rest of women’s soccer are 1-0-1 in conference play and have yet to allow a goal. They will face rival King’s Point at home Wednesday night at 6 PM.
