Art Lamoureux

Art is in his 30th year at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.  He came to the Academy in the summer of 1996 as an intern in the Sports Information Department, and has served the Academy as an Assistant Sports Information Director, Director of Football Operations, and as the Director of Athletic Operations.

He currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Operations and serves as the liaison for the athletic department’s direct contract with New Balance. He is responsible for all apparel, shoe and hard good purchases through New Balance for the Academy’s 25 Varsity Sports and four Club Sports. He also has oversight of the athletic operations/equipment room staff, who outfit nearly 700 athletes (varsity/club) out of 1,000 cadets on a yearly basis. Art continues to serves as the Director of Football Operations, handling all lodging and meal arrangements for all away trips as well overseeing game day operations for all home football games.

He received the Dick North Administrator of the Year from the National Football Foundation Southeastern CT Chapter in 2013 for his dedication and commitment to amateur high school football and the Spirt of the Bear Award from the James M Loy Institute for Leadership in 2016 for his guidance, support, and advice to Cadets as they become Coast Guard leaders.

Art graduated from Southern New Hampshire University (formally New Hampshire College) in 1996 with a Bachlor's Degree in Sports Management.
