United States Coast Guard Academy

LT Matt McAllister returns home to Connecticut and the Coast Guard Academy after five years afloat in Puerto Rico and San Diego, California. McAllister’s new role as the Director of Campus Programs in the Admissions Office comes one year after serving as the Mid-Atlantic Region Admissions Officer. He is entering his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Wrestling program, working with our light weights.

While a cadet, McAllister held down the 141lb weight class for the Bears for his four years as a wrestler. In 2017, his senior season, McAllister served as Team Captain and finished as an NCAA Northeast Region place winner, taking home 6^th place. In high school, McAllister qualified for the New England Championships, after making the Connecticut State Finals at the State Open Championships.

A Colchester, Connecticut native, Matt has enjoyed being close to his family and new nephews. He currently resides in Waterford, Conneccticut.
