Westkott returns to coaching for the first time since 2010, when she served as a substitute diving coach for Coast Guard swim & dive during their annual winter training trip to Sarasota, Fla.; she took up the same role for the team's 2008 trip as well. Prior to that, Westkott was the head diving coach at Connecticut College from 2001 to 2006 and head diving coach at the University of Rhode Island from 2000 to 2001, coaching NCAA Championship and NCAA Zone-qualifying divers at both schools. Westkott was also the Assistant Diving Coach at Rider College from 1999 to 2000.
Prior to her coaching career, Westkott competed in diving at Springfield College from 1995 to 1999. She was named NCAA Division III Women's Diver of the Year in 1999 after winning on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at that year's national championship; she was also named Diver of the Meet at the 1999 New England Championships after winning the Division II/III New England title on the 1-meter and finishing as runner-up on the 3-meter. At the end of her competing career, Westkott was awarded the Charles Batterman Award, which was awarded to the top senior diver who scored the most points over their four-year participation at the New England Championships. She is also a two-time NEWMAC champion and still holds records in Springfield's swim & dive program and NEWMAC meets. For her accomplishments, Westkott was inducted the Springfield College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.
Outside of athletics, Westkott works as an elementary school teacher in the Groton, Conn. School system.
