Prior to Coast Guard: Reid comes to Coast Guard with extensive experience as a high power rifleman having earned 26 of the 30 points needed to be awarded the prestigious Distinguished Marksman Badge. While service rifle and smallbore rifle are different disciplines there is much cross over and his transition is expected to be relatively seamless.
