ORLANDO, Fla.  -  Coast Guard tennis suffered a 1-6 defeat at the hands of Roger Williams University in their spring break closer. 
Ben Bonetto (Bend, Oreg.) claimed the Bears lone win on the day in singles action.
Coast Guard moves to 0-5, while RWU improves to 7-1. The Hawks will close out their own spring break trip tomorrow against Ohio Northern University (5-3).
The Bears were swept in doubles play, losing at no. 1 and no. 3 by 3-6 margins while the freshmen duo of 
Anthony Gregoire (Hagatna, Guam) and 
Konnor Eslinger (St. Charles, Mo.) put up the best fight of the day in a 5-7 loss at the no. 2 match.
Bonetto earned a 2-0 (6-2, 6-4) to net a point for Coast Guard, but the Bears dropped all remaining singles match-ups. Eslinger had the other match to watch with a three-setter, taking the first set by 6-2 score before falling 4-6 in the second and 3-10 in the tiebreaker.
Coast Guard tennis now heads home, where they'll look for their first win of the season in Gregory Field House against the 3-2 Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.).
