United States Coast Guard Academy

Built in 1982, the Coast Guard Academy Rowing Center sits on the Thames River at the northern end of lower field area, just past the soccer pitch and track. The facility wsa provided by the USCGA Alumni Association and the Coast Guard Foundation. Once launched, the rowing teams have 24 miles of river to train on, while the facility itself features coaches offices, locker rooms, a training area with two tanks, an erg room, and three boat bays.
